So, with the new changes to milk of magnesium I wanted to use one at the end of the day before I used the PYEC so it would add 5 turns making the total 20 for my next days meal since I've heard 15 runs out on the last turn before granting benefits. Problem is mafia won't let me.

(usable quantity of milk of magnesium is limited to 0 by a wizard)

Nope.

You have no reason to waste your milk, and mafia correctly prevents you doing so.

It also prevents you from using one when you're full which is a problem in some cases. I want to use it at the end of the day when I'm full and then use a PYEC and bag o' tricks to increase buff turns. The next day I may want to use spice melange or it might be FoB so the extra free turns would be useful.

Question... will we want to spin a new release after all of the tutorial changes get sorted? Or do we wait a few months? It's awfully soon to spin one, but the 'official' release won't actually let newbies play with any sort of reliability.

It has to be Windows with C:\Documents and Settings... as the folder path, right? That doesn't indicate which version of Windows, but I would be surprised if any version of Windows has grep available by default.

Ah, yes. Anything with "\" rather than "/" would be Windows...

Unfortunately, I am about to leave town for 4 days. I expect I'll have time to check things in, now and then, but this is not the time for trying to solve this on my own...

r8731 builds fine. Yeah, Windows XP SP3. grep is a *nix thing that must have been injected in r8732. I think there is a grep for Windows but why is a mafia build wanting to use grep anyway? What files is it trying to change?

r8172 - Include MCroft's additional build file enhancements to include the base version
in all the generated file names.
More use of AdventurePool in place of magic adventure numbers.

So grep is being used to add the version numbers? That might drive Windows users crazy.

Based on the discussion on the main mafia forum, a cross-platform method of adding the version number should replace this fairly soon.
