Notes from 10/22/18 - Worked out a better deal

The party tried to rotate the mithral sheet to make the door appear, but had great difficulty. Acid continued to spray into the room.

Eventually, the door appeared. Chip tried to open it, but it didn't budge; runes glowed a bit. Chip called out the problem. Eclipse turned into a worg and moved to observe the runes; she saw one that meant 'open' and pushed on it, opening the door. The party rushed out into the corridor; Mercy stayed in the room just long enough to jam a dagger behind the mithral sheet in an attempt to jam it open.
Eclipse returned to her normal to cure people. She first cast Healing Spirit healing everybody a little bit. Then she cast several Cure Wounds spells.

Chip opened a door to reveal a library. Sedon rushed in, looking around like a kid in a candy shop. He pulled out a scroll at random and opened it. A voice in the back of the room shushed him. A snake like creature slithered out, asking who was desecrating his library. Sedon answered the party of legend. The snake spotted Chip, and offered that the party trade him for anything in the library. The snake (S'cara) said he wanted to trade Chip to the priestess to gain its freedom. Sedon told it that helping the party of legend defeat the priestess would free him. S'cara allowed the party to rest in the library.

The party questioned S'cara about the priestess and her [ex] crystal prison. It was confused about why Lolth hadn’t helped this last time. The party mentioned the Hunger killing gods, and S'cara wanted to hear all about it.

Sedon got some answers from his special book. In regards to defeating the priestess, the response was seek The Hammer That Binds. S'cara thought the hammer would be in the treasury, and it gave directions.
