Notes from 2/6/20 - Popping to Ninth

Postby MercyDrake » Tue Feb 11, 2020 7:48 am

Chip and Eclipse were down, felled by Coronavirus.

The party came up to the exit doors. Mercy sensed that 12-20 drow were somewhere to the east of the party, but none were outside the door. The party marshalled all the able bodied dwarfs (and others) in case a battle would ensue. The coin was then inserted into the lower statue and the door was opened.

Waiting for the party was a cadre of dwarves. Both sides were happy/relieved.

The dwarves took the time to examine the Penopticon and were quite dismayed at the dwarf larder the illithids had left behind. The dwarves were also not pleased with the party's orc prisoner but decided to tolerate it.

When informed about Mercy's sensing of a large group of Elves (we assume Drow) nearby, the Dwarves told us about a patrol of theirs that went missing recently, and asked us to investigate. We agreed.

Our prisoner, an ogre not an orc, was helping us carry the loot. We asked the Dwarves if we could exchange our massive (and heavy) pile of gold for something more portable, like gems. They couldn't do that, but exchanged most of it for a writ payable with their trading partners in Waterdeep.

We all popped to ninth level.
